About Dr. Sorensen
Dr. Travis Sorensen grew up in Port Angeles Washington. He attended college in the state of Washington where he graduated Magna Cum Laude, receiving his Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology as well as his Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English.
He then undertook his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry (DMD/DDS) at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA where he was the recipient of the Hinnman Award for Academic Excellence. While in dental school, he also earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at Temple University School of Business.
Dr. Sorensen completed his orthodontic training at the Harvard University in Boston, MA, graduating with a Master of Medical Science (MMSc) degree in Oral Biology and a Certificate in Orthodontics. During his time in Boston, he taught orthodontics at Harvard before entering into private practice. He practiced in Boston for several years before returning to the Pacific Northwest.
Currently, Dr. Sorensen belongs to many local and national associations including the American Association of Orthodontists, the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, and the Seattle King County Dental Society. He lives in West Seattle and in his spare time he has completed several marathons and enjoys skiing, weight training, traveling and spending time with his son.
